Kathleen M. Nemer, MD is a board-certified dermatologist and specializes in the prevention and early diagnosis of skin cancers, including basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma, and melanoma. She is currently accepting new patients for Mohs micrographic surgery, general dermatology, and cosmetic dermatology.
Prior to joining Laser & Dermatologic Surgery Center, Dr. Nemer completed a fellowship in Micrographic Surgery & Dermatologic Oncology at Washington University School of Medicine. During her fellowship, she received the highest level of training in skin cancer surgery and Mohs micrographic surgery, post-skin cancer reconstruction, laser surgery, and cosmetic dermatology.
Dr. Nemer received her undergraduate degree from The Ohio State University and her medical degree from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. She completed an internship in Internal Medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center and her residency in Dermatology at Barnes-Jewish Hospital/Washington University School of Medicine. Prior to entering fellowship, Dr. Nemer worked as a general dermatologist at Washington University School of Medicine and the Department of Veteran Affairs in St. Louis.
Dr. Nemer is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, Women’s Dermatologic Society, American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, and the American Medical Association. She has authored over a dozen scientific articles, several book chapters, and has presented at numerous national dermatologic meetings.
Outside of dermatology, Dr. Nemer enjoys spending time with family and friends, travel, cooking, and fitness. She has completed many long-distance races and enjoys training with a local running group.
